FAQ

NEET PG Counselling β€” Common Questions

MBBS degree (or equivalent) + completion of 1-year compulsory rotatory residential internship (CRRI) + permanent or provisional registration with NMC/MCI or state medical council. BDS graduates are eligible for MDS counselling. BAMS/BHMS graduates apply via AIAPGET for AYUSH PG.
This is the most important question in NEET PG counselling and the answer depends on your rank, goals and state. For top ranks (under 1,000 AIQ), you can get both preferred specialty AND premier college. For mid-range ranks, the choice between a good specialty at a lesser college vs a lesser specialty at a better college requires careful analysis. EduTrack builds this analysis for each student individually.
DNB (Diplomate of National Board) is equivalent to MD/MS in qualification. DNB seats are available at hospitals across India β€” district hospitals, private hospitals, etc. β€” which are not covered by MCC counselling. DNB seats can be a good option for students who miss MD/MS in government colleges. EduTrack helps you decide when to pursue DNB over MD/MS.
Many states require PG doctors who got state quota seats to serve in rural/government areas for 1–3 years after completing PG. Bond amounts range from β‚Ή10L to β‚Ή50L if you fail to complete the service period. EduTrack explains bond policies for each state before you make a decision, so there are no surprises.
